If you find your email text appears more spaced out when viewing your test template than in the editor, there is likely invisible formatting within the code that may have pulled through if the text was copied from an external source - such as Microsoft Word/Notes etc.

You can clear invisible formatting 1 of 2 ways.

The first option is within the textbox itself in your account template - when in 'Content' mode, you can click on the text box of the template to open the text editor on the right hand side. If you then click 'Global Format':

This should remove any formatting found on the text. You may notice the spacing difference after clicking, this suggests that there was formatting.

You then need to click save element just underneath the text editor to ensure the changes are saved.

The second method is to place your text through a text cleaner.
