2FA (2-Factor Authentication) is where you are required to use an additional layer of security, on top of a username and password to access an online resource.

Your bank may require you to use a small electrical device to generate, what appears to be, a random sequence of numbers to enter into the web page after your username and password. This is 2FA.

Rather than issue each customer a physical device to enable 2FA, we have elected to use the world's most trusted online 2FA provider - Google Authenticator.
